SIX UNIQUE CENTERS

Each focuses on a specific topic and offers a wide range of resources. Here you can find books, magazines, videos, DVDS, and online databases which provide comprehensive information on popular areas of interest,
AUTOZONE AUTOMOBILE AND APPLIANCE REPAIR CENTER
Whether you are an automobile repair technician.., or you want to learn why your DVD stopped working; you'll find the repair information you need. This center provides trouble shooting guides, maintenance recommendations, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and schematics for motor vehicles, microwave ovens, radios, small gasoline engines, and washing machines among others.
 
FIRST TENNESSEE SMALL BUSINESS CENTER
This collection features information on planning, developing and operating a small business. There are resources on writing a business plan, securing landing; developing marketing strategies, managing personnel, and controlling inventory. You will also find information on the requirements and procedures for obtaining a business license and appropriate tax numbers in Memphis and Shelby County.
ASSISI HEALTH INFORMATION CENTER
Materials in this collection enable individuals to assume more responsibility for their own health by making more Informed health-related decisions far themselves and their families. There is information on wellness, fitness, diseases, disorders, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and treatment You can find information on selecting a health care provider or insurance that is right for you and your family. Answers to your questions on complementary or alternative medicines.
JOB/CAREER CENTER
Popular with both students researching future careers options and current job-seekers, this collection provides resources on test preparation, selecting a college, resume writing, job readiness, job searching, and interviewing.
NONPROFIT RESOURCE CENTER
With a large collection of nonprofit resources and materials from the Foundation Center, this collection provides information about where to find grants and potential donors and how to write a grant for a nonprofit organization. In addition, nonprofits will find useful information on establishing and running a nonprofit; including board development, strategic planning and recruiting volunteers.
PERSONAL FINANCE CENTER
This new center provides information on how to manage and invest money wisely. The collection focuses on personal finance, credit and debt management, estate planning, financial education and responsibility, household money management, insurance, retirement and tax planning. Funding provided by a bequest from Dan Davis
SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
Business & Sciences also features two special collections: Engineering and Pets.

The Engineering collection includes materials for professionals and laymen The focus is on practical applications in a variety of formats including handbooks, encyclopedias, and design manuals Funding provided by Buckeye Technologies

Pets can be a welcome addition to the family. Learn how to research specific breeds before you select one. Learn how to train and take care of your pet You'll not only find information on traditional pets such as cats, dogs and birds, but also about some of the more exotic pets like iguanas, ferrets, and pot-bellied pigs. Funding provided by the Memphis Animal Clinic.
