First Floor RenderingThe Memphis Public Library & Information Center is excited to reveal the preliminary plans for our Teen Learning Lab project. Rebecca Courtney, a design specialist and partner at Looney, Ricks, Kiss, worked closely with Margaret Sullivan of Margaret Sullivan Studio in New York and one of the foremost designers of teen spaces in the country, to come up with this innovative plan.

The nearly 8,300 square foot lab will occupy space on the ground floor as well as the second floor of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. The new space will be a state-of-the-art social, creative, production, research and performance lab exclusively for teens.
