Station Overview:
WMC-TV (NBC-affiliated, Channel 5) serves Memphis, Tennessee, and its surrounding areas, offering over-the-air, satellite, and cable content. As part of Gray Media, WMC includes Telemundo Memphis and Gray Digital Media Memphis.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven Spanish Media Sales Specialist to represent Telemundo and digital properties in the Memphis, TN DMA. The ideal candidate will develop and manage local television, digital, and OTT advertising accounts, focusing on Hispanic audiences and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Hispanic media expert for Telemundo Memphis.
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and agencies.
- Identify advertising needs and create customized solutions.
- Generate advertising proposals and sponsorship/promotional plans.
- Manage account stewardship and track sales activity accurately.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns.
- Represent Telemundo Memphis at client events and sales meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years in television or digital ad sales; Spanish media sales experience preferred.
- Skills: Goal-driven, relationship-focused, and detail-oriented. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
