Su Casa Preschool – Preschool Teacher

If so, Su Casa Preschool is looking for compassionate individuals like you to join our dedicated teaching team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children and their families.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, or willing to learn and immerse yourself in both languages.
  • A strong team player with the ability to handle self-directed responsibilities.
  • Physically capable of engaging in various activities that match a child’s proximity needs, such as kneeling, crawling, playing outdoors, sitting on the floor, lifting, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking teachers to create a bilingual learning environment for children.
  • Implement and adapt the HighScope Curriculum based on the needs and interests of each child.
  • Participate in active play, hands-on learning, and maintain close interaction with children throughout the day.

Schedule:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (July to May).
  • Staff meetings every Tuesday, 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM.
  • Attendance at Su Casa Family Ministries events (approximately 4 hours per event).

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting salary: $30,000/year.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a related field.
  • Relevant experience working with children may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity with HighScope Curriculum is a plus, but willingness to learn and practice is required.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Native speaker of English or Spanish, with preference for those fluent in both languages.
  • Comfortable working in a multilingual environment.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of caring for young children, including lifting, playing, and active engagement.
  • Professional, teachable, and servant-hearted demeanor.
  • Willing to lead Bible classes, share prayer time, and promote a Gospel-centered focus within the classroom.
