Taxpayer Advocate Service

The IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service will provide information for first-time tax filers and assistance for filers with individual or systemic tax problems. Bring your questions and documents to the 3rd floor of the Benjamin Hooks Central Library every other Thursday during the tax filing season.

For one-on-one assistance, a government-issued ID will be required.

The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is an independent organization within the IRS. We are here to protect your rights as a taxpayer and help you with tax problems you can’t resolve on your own.
